Microsoft has rebranded the upcoming Windows Mobile 6.50 OS to Windows Phone. The Inquirer got a full demonstration of the redesigned Windows Phone user interface at a recent Microsoft event. The Windows Phone OS gets demoed on a HTC Touch Diamond 2 and actually looks quite nice. It sounds like they are on to something good by integrating mobile and TV. I, for one, will be watching it with iphone in hand. However, I’ll probably be on Twitter and Facebook. Plus I doubt I’d want to risk receiving SMS spam. However, I would gladly visit their site during timeouts and huddles if it would make the game more entertaining.
