I don’t know who Ian Fogg is. Would you tell me more about him? I have been an iPhone diehard since about 2008. However, I am seeing signs of life in the developer community. It seems the main barriers to acceptance of Windows Phones have been a lack of apps and the lock iTunes seems to have on most people’s music libraries. With developers starting to pop up, it makes me look twice.

One point which was lightly touched on was the rational behind having your own site. So you can have ownership/control over your data. Which includes making sure you can recover from the unexpected. aka backups and redundancies!

Doubt fb is going the way of aol/friendster/myspace for a while. But from what i’ve heard, if you don’t have a blog, you aren’t in the game. So if you don’t have your own site, preferrably with a blog, you aren’t in the game. When you are in the game, make sure you are backing up your site.

Jonathan, thank you so much for stopping by. You are one of the mobile developers I had in mind when I wrote the article. That is interesting to note that the QR codes are built into the phones. I was having a discussion about QR codes with my husband today, and he reinforced the idea that most people do not know they have to download an app to read a QR code, or how to use that app once it is installed.

As always, it’s great to learn your perspective.
